Bala Town

Bala has the largest natural lake in Wales and all the facilities and services you need for a great holiday. The town supermarket opens long hours, there are cash machines in town, a leisure centre with indoor pool, plus the lake with instructed watersports and canoe hire.

There are a number of good places to each locally and within a short drive.

In town Awel yr Aran on the High Street is a contemporary restaurant, the Express Pizzaria in Berwyn Street serves up tasty pizza and pasta. The White Lion Hotel has a busy bar and a good restaurant.  A new wine bar restaurant is opening at the end of 2009 in a stunning converted building on the High Street. Further out of town in Llandrillo is Tyddyn Llan a restaurant with Rooms which offers fine dining and is open to non residents.

There are 2 very good butchers who will supply you with BBQ food, a couple of good cafes who will prepare packed lunches if needed. There are Spar and Somerfield  supermarkets, a chemist, a good fish and chip restaurant and take away. There are cash machines at the HSBC and Barclays Banks.
